Hello everyone,

Hope that all is well with you, your family friends and teammates.

I am just waiting to hear from the arenas with contracts and rates and then to hear from AHS with regards to restrictions.

I am certainly hoping that things will return to the way they were a while back.

Stay tuned.

The All Cal Hockey League is now accepting entries for new teams for the 2020-2021 season.

I am guessing that there may be an increase in costs if arenas are going to be required to disinfect/sanitize dressing rooms, benches, scorekeeping areas, etc. after every game.  There is also the possibility that depending on when the arenas re-open that the 20-21 season may be delayed.  The only information which I received from the arenas before they shutdown is that the timeline for requesting ice times and dates for submission of payments will stay the same.

NEW ONLINE WAIVER MUST BE SUBMITTED OR ELSE YOU CANNOT PLAY

Good Day,

Make sure that you fill out the NEW online waiver prior to playing your first game or you may not be permitted to play.  This NEW waiver covers insurance issues as well as some things about the GoPros which is why everyone is required to submit this new one.  It will only take about 1 minute and you will be done.  If you do not fill it out do not complain when you are informed that you will not be able to play.  Lists will be sent out to scorekeepers Sundays and Wednesdays at noon so if you miss one deadline you will have to wait until the next game. Thanking you in advance for your co-operation.

Mumps and Hand Shakes

Friday, March 3, 2017

Good Day,

I am sure that you have heard that there are some cases of the mumps which are spreading around.

I do appreciate the sportsmanship which you show in shaking hands at the end of the game with your opponents, the referees and even the scorekeeper but I think that it is in everyone's best interest until this mumps issue passes through that we consider doing what the minor hockey community is doing by keeping your gloves on an doing the knuckle knock/fist bump.

Play well and have fun.

Reminder - No Alcohol Policy
Posted By: Fred Z.
Thursday, January 14, 2016

Good Day,

I just received this memo from the Corral.  Basically ALL of the arenas we use have the same policy (although some request that the team violating this policy be removed from the league immediately).

To our valued commercial ice customers

Please be advised that the Calgary Stampede has implemented a Zero Tolerance policy regarding alcohol consumption on Stampede Park effective immediately.   The consumption of alcohol is prohibited on Stampede Park without special permit.  We request your assistance and support in order to adhere to Alberta Gaming & Liquor Act, Section 89 (1).

This Zero tolerance policy will be in full effect and offenses will follow the same guidelines as are present at City of Calgary Arenas as follows:

1)       First offence, the league will have an option of removing the offending team from their league or losing all booked times at the Corral.

2)       On a second offence, the league will lose all booked times at the Corral with no refund for monies paid.

We appreciate your cooperation.

No Drinking at arenas
Posted By: Fred Z.

TO ALL THE TEAM REPS AND TO ALL PLAYERS OF THE ALLCAL LEAGUE.   MARCH 8TH 2013

GENTLEMEN THIS IS A REMINDER THAT THERE IS A ZERO TOLORANCE POLICY FOR DRINKING IN THE ARENAS OR OUTSIDE OF THE ARENAS. 2 TEAMS AS OF MAR 2013 ARE NOW BANNED FROM PLAYING IN A CITY RINK BECAUSE THEY WERE DRINKING IN THE DRESSING ROOMS. ALLCAL MUST ABIDE BY THE POLICY OF NO ALCOHOL IN ANY OF THE FACILITIES THAT WE USE, THEY ARE ANY CITY OF CALGARY RINKS, WINSPORT AND THE SARCEE RINK.

PLEASE DO NOT BE THE CAUSE FOR ALLCAL TO LOOSE THERE RIGHT TO PLAY IN ANY OF THESE FACILITIES AS ICE TIME IS AT A PREMIUM TO GET AND YOUR ICE SLOT CANNOT BE REPLACED.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

As Christmas is coming up and you may want to celebrate with some buddies this is a friendly reminder that all the arenas which we play in have a No Alcohol Policy and at Sarcee there is no drinking anywhere on the reserve yes, this means the parking lot as well.

If you do choose to violate this policy there are rules currently in place (see below). It is quite simply how I handle this usually the arena phones me up and says that a team violated this rule and either I lose the team or I lose my contracts with that arena.

a) Should a team violate this policy any or all of the following may occur:

a. Team may be suspended immediately

b. Team may pay a $500 fine

Reminder - NO ALCOHOL POLICY
Posted By: Fred Z.
Monday, January 11, 2010

Hey Guys,

I just had a conversation with the GM of Sarcee and it seems that some teams are violating the "No Alcohol Policy" at Sarcee.  Be reminded that you are not permitted to consume alcohol anywhere on the Tsui Tina Reserve.

It is up to you as team reps to make sure that this policy is enforced.  One team has already been suspended because of violating this rule.

As I have indicated in the past I take this issue very seriously as the No Alcohol Policy is in effect at every rink we play at.  By teams violating this rule they are putting our icetimes is jeopardy.  I guess you and your teammates just have to ask yourself that if you think that drinking a beer in the facility is worth you being suspended from a league, forfeiting some of your league fees (if not all) and giving up playing in a league in Calgary with the latest time being 10:30PM to playing in other leagues with icetimes at 11:45PM in Chestermere, Airdire, Indus, Cochrane, etc.

If it comes down to me suspending teams to maintain my ice contracts and the integrity of the league I do not have any problem doing that.
